WORLD CUP 2023 SCHEDULE, STADIUMS AND TEAMS:

The ICC World Cup 2023 is a tournament organized by the International Cricket Council, this will be the 13TH edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup which is scheduled to be hosted in INDIA – the previous edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 was won by ENGLAND and they are the defending champions.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be played in INDIA, and as INDIA has the hosting rights for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 they qualified for the CWC 2023 tournament directly.

India has also hosted World Cup many times, the last time they hosted the ODI Cricket World Cup was in 2011 which was also won by INDIA under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, now again INDIA will be hosting the ICC tournament and that too for the 4TH time in their history which will be ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 this year.

The schedule of the ICC Cricket World Cup is yet to be announced by the ICC but it has announced that the tournament is expected to take place on 5 OCTOBER 2023 from 19 NOVEMBER 2023 in INDIA this year.

The previous schedule for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 was announced that it will take place from FEBRUARY – MARCH but it was changed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

There will be a total of 10 teams that will feature in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, a tournament ICC World Cup Super League was announced which will be a road to the qualification for the World Cup 2023 – the TOP 8 teams in the points table of the Super League will qualify directly to the World Cup 2023 and the remaining two spots will be filled after the World Cup Qualifiers between the remaining teams.

  • The teams those could not qualify directly into the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will feature in the World Cup Qualifiers with five other associate teams and the TOP 2 teams from all of those will play the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.
