The captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam is under immense pressure because of bad performance from the Pakistan team in the World Cup 2023.

According to media reports, Babar Azam is likely to take a decision on his captaincy and he is thinking of stepping down as the white-ball captain of the Pakistan team.

Despite being one of the most successful Pakistani captains, It is reported that Babar Azam might resign from white ball captaincy but it is high likely that Babar Azam will lead Pakistan in TEST matches against Australia.

In the upcoming series, Pakistan is all set to play a three-match TEST series against Australia in Australia and the decision of Babar Azam will not affect his Test captaincy.

In PAK vs AUS TEST series, that is scheduled to be played in DECEMBER – JANUARY, Babar Azam will be in action for Pakistan as the captain of the test team.

PCB is also thinking of different white-ball and red-ball captains and if Babar Azam decides to hang his boots as captain, he will still continue to lead in Test cricket for Pakistan.

Pakistan Cricket Team failed to qualify for the semis of the World Cup 2023 as they could only win four games out of nine matches in the tournament.

As Pakistan finished fifth on the points table of the World Cup 2023, everyone was blaming captain, Babar Azam for this bad campaign of Pakistan in World Cup.

Babar Azam is under huge pressure as Pakistani captain and if he decides to quit or PCB removes him from the captaincy of Pakistan team, the options to lead Pakistan in Australia tests are Shan Masood, Muhammad Rizwan, and Sarfaraz Ahmed.
