Pak vs Aus 2023: Should Haris Rauf Play Test Cricket For Pakistan?
Should Haris Rauf Play Test Cricket For Pakistan?
The newly appointed PCB Chief Selector, Wahab Riaz announced an 18-member squad for Pakistan’s Test Tour to Australia next month.
Wahab Riaz wasn’t happy with Haris Rauf as he said that Rauf was willing to play on this tour but he pulled out at the last minute from the Australia test series.
Haris Rauf has played 1 test match for Pakistan in which he bowled 78 balls and picked up one wicket, before getting injured and was declared unfit to bowl in the second innings of the test match.
We can argue that Haris Rauf should’ve stepped up for Pakistan as some other pacers were injured but as we know, Haris Rauf is not a test bowler so his decision not to play tests for Pakistan should be respected.
HARIS RAUF’S FIRST-CLASS RECORD:
The right-arm Pakistani pacer has played a number of first-class matches and his record in red-ball cricket is as follows:
MATCHES | 9 |
WICKETS | 32 |
AVERAGE | 29.1 |
5 WICKET HAULS | 2 |
