Babar Azam Announced As The ICC Player Of The Month For August 2023:

The captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam has been announced as the player of the month for the AUGUST, 2023 by the International Cricket Council.

ICC announced three nominees for this award, the three players initially picked for the award were Shadab Khan, Babar Azam, and Nicholas Pooran.

Pakistani skipper has beaten his team-mate Shadab Khan and the West Indian batter, Nicholas Pooran to bag this Player of the Month award for August 2023.

The top-ranked ODI batter in the ICC ODI Rankings has played four ODI matches in AUGUST, 2023 against Afghanistan and Nepal.

He scored two consecutive fifties and a magnificent century in four innings for Pakistan and bagged the Player of the Month award for August 2023.

Babar Azam is also the top-ranked ODI batsman in the world since 2021 and it’s the third time, he has won this award from ICC.

Currently, Babar Azam is the only player in the world who has won the Player of the Month Award three times in his career.

This Player of the Month award is given by the ICC to the player who had the best performances throughout the month for his team in international cricket.
