The captain of Pakistan, Babar Azam created another world record in ODI cricket while batting against Afghanistan in the second ODI match at Hambantota.

Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam was dismissed for a duck in the first match of the series but he came back in the second ODI with all guns blazing and scored a half-century in the 300+ run chase.

He scored a half-century in his 100th ODI innings for Pakistan, his inning of 53 runs off just 66 deliveries, with the help of six fours helped him achieve a world record in ODI cricket.

The top-ranked ODI batsman, Babar Azam now holds the record for the most runs in ODI cricket history after 100 innings in ODI cricket.

Babar Azam is the only batsman in ODI history who has scored more than 5000 runs after 100 ODI innings, he has scored 5142 runs in ODI cricket after 100 ODI innings for Pakistan.

The previous record of most runs in ODI cricket after 100 ODI innings was with Hashim Amla who scored 4954 runs in ODI cricket after 100 ODI innings for South Africa, but now Babar Azam has achieved that record.

Babar Azam has played 100 ODI innings for Pakistan and has scored 5142 runs in ODI cricket, with the help of 18 centuries and 27 half centuries in ODI cricket

The other batters in the list of players with the most runs after 100 ODI innings include Viv Richard, Shai Hope, Joe Root, and many other batting greats.
