Babar Azam as we all know is one of the best batsmen in the current generation in all formats, he is also named as one of the greatest batters Pakistan ever produced but even after his performances in t20 cricket people are still always ready to point out that Babar Azam as a poor t20 batter, let’s see the career of babar azam in t20 cricket;

Babar Azam T20 Runs in 2023:

Babar Azam made his debut for Pakistan in t20is on England tour in 2016 and Babar was unbeaten in 3 out of the first 4 innings he played for Pakistan, 2017 wasn’t an excellent year for Babar but after that he never looked back and gave match-winning performances from 2018 to 2021 – he was the best T20 batsman of Pakistan in that period.

Babar Azam Poor Performance 2023:

As it’s the rule of nature that even after many efforts everyone loves to see a Hero fail and the same was the case for Babar, although he had good form in 2021 as he scored the most runs in T20 World Cup 2021, still he wasn’t at his best and everyone started to talk about his SR which was below 130 this year and things got worse in 2022 as well when whole Pakistani media started a campaign to prove Babar Azam as a failed t20 batter, still captain Babar Azam managed to score T20i centuries in both consecutive years but wasn’t consistent with his form in t20 cricket.

Things were still moving along nicely but then Babar had some horrible tournaments while including the Asia Cup and World Cup campaign, Pakistan did good in both tournaments but Babar Azam’s form was very much questionable, his stats in both tournaments were;

Babar Azam PSL 2023 Tournament:

In the 2023 season of the Pakistan Super League, Babar Azam left Karachi Kings and was named as Captain of Peshawar Zalmi because of some rumored rift between his former team-mates, fans thought that things might come out better in this PSL now which was actually a very good start to the tournament as he scored fifty against his former club but as always his inconsistency in t20 cricket started and he failed in next matches, still a long tournament to go and we will be hoping that Babar gets back into his groove because a batsman of his caliber will not take much time to be back in business.
