ODI WORLD CUP 2023 PAKISTAN SQUAD:
Pakistan’s new chief selector, Haroon Rasheed has announced that they have shortlisted players that will be in contention for the 2023 Cricket World Cup later this year.
- THE SQUAD FROM THE ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2023 WILL BE ANNOUNCED FROM THESE 30 PLAYERS WHO ARE MOST LIKELY TO PLAY FOR PAKISTAN IN WORLD CUP AFTER FINALIZING THE RIGHT COMBINATION FOR THE WORLD CUP.
Chief Selector, Haroon Rasheed also said in the press conference that they will try different combinations for the T20i team but there is no time to think about any kind of changes in the ODI team as the World Cup is just around the corner.
‘’ When I was appointed as the Pakistan team’s chief selector, I immediately tried to figure out our available players and compared it with other international teams, our pool of players for the World Cup is relatively small but all are quality international cricketers ‘’, he further added.
Pakistan team has just 8-10 ODI matches left before the mega tournament later this year and Pakistan will play with those players that are in contention to be a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.
Haroon Rasheed, chief selector of the Pakistan team has confirmed that they have 30 players in mind for the upcoming World Cup and the final squad will be finalized around the Asia Cup 2023 which is expected to be played in Pakistan.
CS said, that the squad for the NZ series is announced with the consent of the captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam, and the team for the upcoming big tournaments will also be announced after consultation with everyone once the team management is finalized and they take the charge of the team.
