The former Australian cricketer picks the four teams that he thinks will play the semis of the ICC World Cup 2023 which is scheduled to be played from 5 OCT – 19 NOV, 2023.
Gregg Chappell, the former Australian cricketer reveals his top four teams of the competition in which 10 teams will be competing for the final four spots.
In a recent interview, Gregg Chappell names the four teams that he believes will go through to the next round. The four teams that Chappell picked for the semi-finalists of the World Cup are India, England, Australia, and Pakistan.
These four teams that Chappell has picked for the semis of the World Cup are the most favorite teams that are being named by almost everyone as their favorite teams to qualify for the semis of the tournament.
‘’ I think the four teams to watch out for me, India obviously, Australia, England, and Pakistan. The four best teams and the other Asian teams come into their own because it is in India but I will stick to those four at this stage ‘’, Gregg Chappell added.
Gregg Chappell played for the Australian cricket team in the 70s, he has played 87 TEST matches and 74 ODI matches in which he has scored 7110 runs and 2331 runs respectively for his country.
The former Australian cricketer is a big name in international cricket as he has also worked as the Australian Selector twice in his career, he also worked as coach of the South African team. Moreover, he has also worked in Pakistan with NCA. Chappell has also served as the coach of the Indian cricket team as well.
The ICC Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be played from 5 OCTOBER, 2023 – 19 NOVEMBER, 2023. The tournament is scheduled to be played in India, in which a total of 48 ODI matches are scheduled to be played. There are 10 teams that will be competing in this World Cup 2023 to be crowned as the champions of the tournament.
