HAIDER ALI’S FIFTY GOES IN VAIN AS SHAN MASOOD LEADS HIS TEAM TO ANOTHER WIN

HAIDER ALI’S FIFTY GOES IN VAIN:

Pakistani opening batsman Haider Ali was signed by English county team, Derbyshire for the 2023 Vitality Blast season but he wasn’t performing with the bat in the initial matches of the season till last night when he replied back with a brilliant half-century.

Haider Ali last night showed everyone a glimpse of his talent again as he scored the first fifty of the season for his team, Derbyshire in the 2023 Vitality Blast.

The right-handed Pakistani opener, Haider Ali was failing badly in the tournament but credit to Derbyshire’s management who even though aren’t winnings games but still kept going with Haider Ali in every match, and now in the sixth match of the season, Haider Ali pays that off with a brilliant fifty for his team and his good form will help his team further in the tournament as well.

Haider Ali before last night had just scored 54 runs in the first 5 matches for his team in the T20 Blast 2023 but looks like he has now found his groove as he scored a quick-fire half-century on just 35 balls – his knock of 74 runs of just 47 balls came at a brisk rate, he scored with a Strike-Rate of 157, which also includes four huge sixes.

The right-handed opener has played six matches for Derbyshire Team this season and has scored a total of 128 runs – he averages 22 in the tournament with a Strike-Rate of 127 but his fifty last night gives a sign of hope that he might excel later in the tournament and will eventually come good for his team after getting confidence from his fifty last night.

An excellent knock of 74 runs of 47 balls by Haider Ali against Shan Masood’s Yorkshire went in vain as the Derbyshire Team managed a total of 166 runs even after a good knock by Haider Ali and contributions from other batters which wasn’t enough to win the game and Yorkshire chased that target down in just 18.2 overs.

David Malan who is in great form this season and has already scored more than 300 runs this season once again played a very important hand to chase this target down in 18.2 overs as he scored an exceptional knock of 81 runs in 57 balls to lead his team Yorkshire to another win of the season.

Zaman Khan, the young emerging fast bowler of the Pakistan team is also signed in by Derbyshire which couldn’t do well in the match last night as he conceded a total of 37 runs in 3.3 overs, economy of more than 10 runs which wasn’t good while defending a relatively small target.

The young bowling sensation of Pakistan, Zaman Khan basically has nerves of steel which he has shown on many occasions specially when he defended less than 10 runs in the final overs for Lahore Qalandars to help them lift the title. He is also performing well in this 2023 Vitality Blast, had a bad game last night but as we all know he knows how to comeback and we will definitely see the best of Zaman Khan again in the upcoming matches for Derbyshire.

Yorkshire under the leadership of Shan Masood this season has won three out of their six matches, he didn’t bat in the match last night but was still the winning captain last night in the 2023 Vitality Blast season.

Shan Masood, the captain of the Yorkshire Team in the 2023 Vitality Blast season hasn’t been among the runs as well as he has just scored 91 runs in the 6 matches he has played this season for his team, he averages 18 in this tournament with a Strike-Rate of 130 – Shan Masood’s highest score this season is 34 runs and is yet to score any half-century in the Vitality Blast this season.
