Haris Rauf About Babar Azam In Psl 2023


The right-arm pacer who gave credit to National Captain Babar Azam for his success in International cricket was picked by the PDP program of Lahore Qalandars, he impressed everyone with his ability to click 150+ and made improvement in his bowling with time, he was then picked in BBL and his performances in Big Bash earned him a maiden call for Pakistan T20i team and slowly he has now become an integral part of Pakistan’s white ball setup as well as a dependent pacer for his franchise team Lahore Qalandars.


The pace sensation of Pakistan’s bowling attack was effective in white ball cricket but his economy was on the higher side especially in T20i cricket which can release the pressure in a T20 game but since 2021 he has worked very hard in this regard and his economy rate which was close to 10 when he started his career came down to under 8 in that period.


He was also instrumental in Pakistan’s T20 world cup campaign 2021 where he picked wickets at crucial stage specially his performances vs New-Zealand was the important one, after that he also performed well in every white ball series Pakistan played vs SA, AUS and then WI followed by his performances in Asia Cup 2022 & T20 World Cup 2022 in which Pakistan played the finals under the captaincy of Babar Azam, Haris Rauf was an important member of that bowling attack which played some good cricket since 2021 World Cup to 2022 World Cup.

‘’ I Strongly Believe That The Improvement In My Performance Is All Because Of Babar Azam, We Played Really Good Cricket In Last Two Years As A Team And This Is Because Of Our Unit And The Credit Goes To Our Skipper Babar Azam ‘’ he spoke to newspaper DAWN and praised captaincy of Babar Azam.

He further added that it was Babar Azam who trusted our abilities and he was the one who gave us confidence in the National team and which gave us the courage to perform at the international arena, he also praised his franchise captain Shaheen Shah as he has a special place in his heart and we have a strong bond together.

When he was talking about shaheen he added that Shaheen Shah Afridi was injured for about six months and in that time period I missed him as it was a difficult task to lead the bowling attack in his absence but i was lucky enough that I learnt from Shaheen Shah and implied those things which I had learned from him and I am glad I did well even in his absence, the right arm pacer was among the wickets in Asia Cup, followed by home series of England as well as the NZ Tri-series, after that Shaheen Shah Afridi was recovered his injury and they both were part of the ICC World Cup 2022 where both performed very well and Pakistan played the final of that tournament.
