Imad Wasim Believes Babar Is Top Ranked ODI Batsman And He Has To Win Matches For Pakistan:

Pakistan team has lost two consecutive matches in the World Cup 2023 and Babar Azam is yet to score big scores in the World Cup for Pakistan.

On Saturday, Pakistan lost the match against Australia by 62 runs and Babar Azam failed to deliver again as he just scored 18 runs on 14 deliveries before dismissing by Zampa.

On a local TV channel, the veteran all-rounder of Pakistan, Imad Wasim highlights the importance of big stages and also questions Babar Azam’s match-winning innings for Pakistan at the big stages.

Furthermore, Imad Wasim also believes that the Pakistani skipper is yet to win an important game for Pakistan after his century against NZ in the virtual knock of the 2019 World Cup.

‘’ There is pressure at the world stage, but it is also the place where you prove your worth. I think the last time Babar performed in a big match was when he scored a century against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup. After that century, he is yet to win a big match for Pakistan. This is not a criticism but a fact ‘’, Imad Wasim added.

The 34-year-old Pakistani all-rounder, Imad Wasim emphasized that as the #1 ranked ODI batsman, it is Babar Azam’s responsibility to win matches for Pakistan and he has to do that for Pakistan in the World Cups.

‘’ Being the number one batter in ODIS, it is Babar’s responsibility to win matches but questions will be raised if he doesn’t do that. He needs to bat as per the team’s requirements. He has the ability to dominate bowlers and this is the place to do it ‘’, he concluded.
