Asia Cup 2023 Final: Indian Pacers Equaled Pakistani Pacers Record In The Asia Cup Final

India and Sri Lanka played in the final of the 2023 Asia Cup tournament in which Sri Lanka faced a huge defeat against India.

The pacers of the Indian team started to cause havoc in the batting lineup of the Sri Lankan batters and as a result, they were bundled out for just 50 runs.

Furthermore, this is a record for the Sri Lankan batters to be bowled out in the fewest overs by a full-member team, as they were bowled out in just 15.2 overs by the Indian pacers.

INDIAN PACERS EQUALLED PAKISTANI PACERS RECORD:

With this huge win, Indian pacers have also equaled the record of the Pakistani pacers in the Asia Cup 2023 final against Sri Lanka.

However, this is just the second time that all the ten wickets of the opposition team were picked by the pacers.

Pakistan did the same in the group stage match against India in Asia Cup 2023 and now India has equaled the record after picking all ten wickets of Lankan batters in the Asia Cup 2023 final.

Out of 10 wickets taken by Indian pacers, six wickets were picked by Muhammad Siraj, three wickets by Hardik Pandya, and one wicket by Jasprit Bumrah.

Sri Lanka was bowled out for just 51 runs and Indian openers, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan chased down the target in just 6.1 overs.

India won the Asia Cup 2023 final by 10 wickets and they have lifted their eighth Asia Cup title.
