LANKA PREMIER LEAGUE AUCTION 2023:
The auction of the Lanka Premier League 2023 is set to take place on June 14, 2023, and Babar Azam aims to build a strong team in the tournament.
Pakistan’s all-format captain, Babar Azam has been signed in for the Lanka Premier League for the 2023 season, Babar Azam was signed by the Colombo Strikers for the upcoming LPL edition before the draft as their icon player.
The Colombo Strikers have also signed the young right-arm pacer of Pakistan, Naseem Shah along with Babar Azam for the 2023 Lanka Premier League. Srilankan T20 players like Chamika Karunaratne, and another exciting talent Matheesha Pathirana are also roped in by the franchise, Colombo Strikers.

LPL 2023 AUCTION MONEY:
When you talk about any auction ceremony in a league, the most important thing is to note the amount of money a franchise is allowed to use in the AUCTION DRAFT, as per the reports by SLC, it is stated that each franchise in the Lanka Premier League is allowed to pick players from a total sum of $ USD 500,000 to bid for the players.
LPL 2023 VENUES:
One of the most important events in the history of the Lanka Premier League is this upcoming auction draft and as per the reports, the auction ceremony is reported to be held at the Shangri-La-Hotel in Colombo.
AUCTION PICKS:
There are a total of five teams in the Lanka Premier League 2023 season and each team in the tournament will comprise a total of 20 players in the squad – every team has to pick 14 players from Srilanka and the rest of the 6 overseas players for the 2023 Lanka Premier League.
LPL TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
Each team in the Lanka Premier League 2023 season will play against another twice in the group stage, the top teams of the tournament will advance to the playoffs of the Lanka League 2023 season.
The fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League 2023 season is scheduled to be held from July 30, 2023, to August 20, 2023.
