The Lanka Premier League is just about to start and Colombo Strikers have preferred another Pakistani player to be included in their team as they have signed Imam Ul Haq for the Lanka Premier League 2023 season.
The 2023 Lanka Premier League is scheduled to play in Srilanka after the TEST series of Pakistan VS Srilanka in JULY, 2023. The dates for the Lanka Premier League 2023 are as follows;

IMAM UL HAQ JOINS COLOMBO STRIKERS:
The Colombo Strikers have announced that Pakistan’s left-handed opening batsman, Imam Ul Haq will be in action for their team in the 2023 Lanka Premier League (LPL 2023). Imam Ul Haq has been signed by the Colombo Strikers as a replacement for the Irish wicket-keeper batsman, Lorcan Tucker for the upcoming Lanka Premier League 2023 season.
The left-handed Pakistani opener, Imam Ul Haq, as we all know is the best friend of the captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam who has already been signed by the Colombo Strikers as their most valuable player in the Lanka Premier League 2023 season. Both players will be playing for the same team in the upcoming LPL 2023.
IMAM UL HAQ IN T20 CRICKET:
Imam Ul Haq is the main player of the Pakistan team in the ODI format but things are quite different when it comes to T20 format. Imam Ul Haq has played 78 matches in T20 domestic cricket as well as in Pakistan Super League and has scored 2000+ runs at a strike rate of around 120 with 20 scores of 50+ in his T20 career till now.
This will be the first-ever foreign T20 league for the Pakistani opener, Imam Ul Haq. Even though Imam is a very good player but still it’s a surprise because Imam Ul Haq isn’t a regular player to be picked for any T20 franchise because of his role in the team which can’t be more than an anchor.
PAKISTANI PLAYERS SIGNED BY COLOMBO STRIKERS:
The franchise of the Lanka Premier League has roped in another Pakistani opener, Imam Ul Haq as their replacement to Lorcan Tucker for the 2023 Lanka Premier League and that means now they have all of their overseas players signed from the Pakistan team.
Babar Azam as well as Naseem Shah were signed directly by Colombo Strikers for the Lanka Premier League 2023 season. All of the other players like Muhammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Wahab Riaz were picked by Colombo Strikers in the LPL auction 2023.
