Pakistan Cricket Team has created history in the World Cups as Babar Azam’s led Pakistan chased down the highest-ever score in the history of the ICC World Cups.
The previous best run chase was Ireland vs England in 2011 but the Pakistan team has bettered that record and now they are the only team to chase more than 330 runs in World Cup history.

PAKISTAN VS SRILANKA:
Pakistan is the team with the highest successful run chase in World Cup history as they chased down a mammoth total of 345 runs against Sri Lanka in the World Cup 2023.
Pakistani batters, Muhammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique scored centuries and Pakistan was able to create history at Hyderabad.
IRELAND VS ENGLAND:
The second-highest successful run chase in World Cup history is the famous chase of Ireland against England in the 2011 World Cup in India.
The middle-order batsman, Kevin O’Brien scored a brilliant century in the run chase as he scored 113 runs in just 63 deliveries to win the match for his team.
BANGLADESH VS SCOTLAND:
Bangladesh also features in the list of the top run chases in World Cups as they also chased down a total of more than 300 runs against Scotland in 2015 World Cup.
Out of top five batters batted for Bangladesh, four batters scored fifties in the run chase of 319 runs as Bangladesh listed their name in the record books of the World Cup.
BANGLADESH VS WESTINDIES:
The only team that features twice in the list of highest successful run chase is Bangladesh who did almost the same in the 2019 World Cup against Windies as well.
Bangladesh chased down a target of 322 runs in CWC 2019 on the back of a brilliant century by Shakib Al Hasan who scored 124 runs on just 99 deliveries, smashing 16 fours in his brilliant knock.
SRI LANKA VS ZIMBABWE:
Furthermore, the fifth highest run chase in World Cups has been done by Sri Lanka. They also feature in this list as they chased down 313 runs against Zimbabwe in the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
Some excellent knocks from Roshan Mahanama, Athula Samarasekera, Asanka Gurusinha, Arjuna Ranatunga, as well as Sanath Jayasuriya helped Sri Lanka chase down a mammoth total of 313 runs in 1992.
