Centuries From Warner And Marsh Powers Australia To Win Over Pakistan In World Cup 2023:

David Warner was adjusted Player of the Match as Pakistan failed to chase down a total of 368 runs against Australia and lost the match by 62 runs in the World Cup 2023.

The captain of Pakistan, Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bowl first against Australia in World Cup 2023.

FIRST INNINGS:

The Aussie openers were straight on charge against the Pakistani bowlers as both David Warner and Mitch Marsh scored centuries against Pakistan.

David Warner smashed a magnificent knock of 163 runs on just 124 deliveries, smashing fourteen fours and nine sixes in his knock, followed by Mitch Marsh who also scored a good knock of 121 runs on 108 deliveries, scoring ten fours and nine sixes.

The rest of the batters were taken care of by Shaheen Shah Afridi And Haris Rauf who bowled brilliantly in the death overs and restricted Australia to 357 runs in 50 overs.

Shaheen Shah Afridi picked his second fifer in the World Cups while giving away just 54 runs. Haris Rauf also picked up three wickets in his 8 overs and one wicket was picked by Usama Mir.

SECOND INNINGS:

In the second innings, Pakistani openers also gave a good start to Pakistan as Imam Ul Haq scored 70 runs on 71 deliveries followed by Abdullah Shafique who also scored 64 runs on 61 deliveries.

The Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam started off brilliantly in the run chase with three fours but was dismissed by Adam Zampa for 18 runs on 14 deliveries.

Iftikhar Ahmed, Saud Shakeel and Muhammad Rizwan batted brilliantly after Babar Azam’s wicket but those runs were not enough as Pakistan lost the match by 62 runs.

Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers who claimed 4 wickets against Pakistan. Two wickets each were picked by Cummins and Stoinis and one wicket each was picked by Hazelwood and Starc.
