PSL 2025 FORMAT:
The format of the Pakistan Super League 2025 is the same as the tournament is played every year. The tournament is played on the Round Robin and Knockouts format which most of the T20 League follow as well around the world.
All the PSL franchises/teams are placed in a group and all the teams have to play against each other twice and after that the top four teams of the tournament qualify for the Playoffs stage of the tournament.
PSL 2025 SCHEDULE:
The schedule of the PSL 2025 edition is expected to be different from the normal routine of the PSL which is basically played in FEBRUARY and MARCH every year.
The tournament is reportedly expected to be played after a month or two from its original time. The tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League tournament is expected to be played from its unusual time as the Pakistan Cricket Board has proposed time frame of March and May for the PSL 2025 edition.
PSL 2025 CLASH WITH IPL 2025:
But, the Pakistan Cricket Board has to look again into this matter as the tournament will clash with the Indian Premier League 2025 season if the dates are not pulled back.
It will be the first time that any T20 tournament will take place along with the Indian Premier League because no league does this as they are aware that clashing with the IPL will dent the availability of the players as well as the viewership.
These are basically tentative dates that were released by the Pakistan Cricket Board, and which means that the official dates will be announced a month or two before the start of the PSL 2025 edition.
PSL 2025 NEW TEAMS:
There are always reports that there will be the new teams in the Pakistan Super League tournament but the last time a team was added in PSL was way back in 2017 and that was Multan Sultans.
There are also further reports that the PSL 10 might feature some two more teams in the tournament and the PSL new teams will be from Sialkot and Faisalabad but there are no further reports yet regarding the addition of the new teams.

PSL 2025 RETENTIONS:
As we all know, the franchises have to retain a maximum of eight players before every season of the Pakistan Super League and which means they have to release the rest of their squad and they will be available in the PSL 2025 Draft.

The PSL 2025 Retentions will be officially updated after they are announced officially by the PSL franchises.
PSL 2025 DRAFT DATE:
The Draft of the Pakistan Super League 2025 edition is expected to be scheduled on its normal time period. The PSL Draft is basically scheduled around two months before the start of the PSL tournament.
The PSL 2025 Draft is expected to take place around in the mid of DECEMBER, 2025 but if the tournament is pushed further in the MARCH, 2024 then we might see the Draft might getting reschedule in JANUARY, 2024.
The PSL 2024 Draft was scheduled in the mid of December and we can also assume that the PSL 2025 Draft might also get scheduled at the same time in the December of the upcoming year, before the start of the PSL 2025 season.
AUCTION DETAILS OF PSL 10:
Every year the PSL fans demand some change in the method of picking players as they want the auction system in the Pakistan Super League but Pakistan Cricket Board has never responded on this matter and they haven’t shown much interest in auction strategy as well conducting auction in the PSL tournament.
It will be good for the audience and the fans if PCB will look into this matter and they make sure to arrange things to get everything ready for the auction in the history of the Pakistan Super League.

Every team has matches scheduled in their home ground except the PSL franchise, Quetta Gladiators and they will be hoping that they will also get their chance to play at Bugti Stadium soon in front of their fans.
EXPECTED ADDITION OF NEW VENUES IN PSL 10:
There is an outside chance of the addition of the Bugti Stadium, which is situated in Quetta and it will be the home ground of Quetta Gladiators.
Pakistan Cricket Board is currently monitoring the status of the Bugti Stadium and the board will make sure that the stadium is ready for the PSL 2025 matches, and if everything goes as per plan we might also see the matches of Quetta playing in their home ground.
