PAKISTAN’S NEXT SERIES IN DANGER – TO MAKE WINDOW FOR PSL 2024 SEASON

PAKISTAN’S NEXT SERIES:

As per the latest reports, PCB is trying to get the required window for PSL 9, and for that, they have approached the UAE Board as well as the next series of Pakistan is also in danger.

As we all know, cricket is getting faster time by time, and with more T20 leagues all around the world, there is a huge problem in getting the dates sorted out so that players can get the required rest and no league overlaps with another league which is not good for any league’s viewership and player’s availability.

Pakistani players as we all know have a huge status in world cricket when it comes to T20 cricket, they are like gold dust and like last year, Emirates Cricket Board has once again requested the Pakistan Cricket Board to allow their players in the ILT20 tournament based in UAE.

PLAYERS OFFER FROM ILT20:

The star Pakistani players such as Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi were offered up to USD 900,000 in the ILT20 along with the captaincy of teams in the tournament but they weren’t allowed to participate in the league but looks like they have got the green signal from the board in the second edition.

PCB’S REQUEST TO EMIRATED BOARD:

The Pakistan Cricket Board has requested the Emirates Cricket Board to adjust the dates of their T20 tournament as they are ready to allow their players for the ILT20 but for that, they need a favor of a change in the dates of the league in return.

  • Emirates Cricket Board has been requested to adjust their T20 league 10 days before the scheduled start of the ILT20 by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

ILT20 DETAILS:

The second edition of the ILT20 is scheduled to be played from January 13TH to February 12TH next year and Pakistan Cricket Board has requested the Emirates Board to start their T20 league at the end of December or at the start of January 2024.

Emirates Cricket Board launched their T20 league last year and requested Pakistan Cricket Board to allow their players in their T20 league but Ramiz Raja, the former PCB chairman didn’t allow Pakistani players to participate in the league.

Now this time, before the start of the second edition of the ILT20, PCB Chairman, Najam Sethi, has stated that there is no objection from the cricket board to players regarding their participation in the T20 league of UAE, as this will build better relations with Emirates Cricket Board.

PAKISTAN’S NEXT SERIES IN DANGER:

Along with some adjustment that is requested by the Emirates Cricket Board, Pakistan Cricket Board is also thinking to postpone the series of Pakistan against West Indies that is scheduled to be played at the start of next year.

Pakistan and West Indies are scheduled to play a series: the series consists of a two-match TEST series and three-match T20 series earlier next year but now as per the reports, PCB has decided to reschedule the series to make room for the Pakistan Super League 2024 season.

Pakistan Cricket Board is keeping in view the T20 World Cup 2024 as well which is also scheduled at the start of next year and Pakistan has many series along with the Pakistan Super League 9 season. Pakistan Cricket Board is trying its best to get some vacant space so that the players can get the desired rest and for that, they are trying to reschedule the matches.
