In this article, we will talk about the trades of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2024 edition and the draft details of the PSL 2024 season.
HASSAN ALI AND IMAD WASIM TRADE (KK & IU):
PSL franchises Karachi Kings and Islamabad United have worked out things between them and both teams have agreed to complete a transfer/trade between them.
This is the first announcement regarding the PSL 2024 trade news before the PSL 2024 Draft and it is a piece of big news that Karachi Kings PSL winning captain, Imad Wasim has decided to leave the Kings.
Islamabad United has acquired the services of former Karachi captain, Imad Wasim for Pakistan Super League 2024 but in this process, Hassan Ali has been traded to Karachi Kings.
The right-arm Pakistani pacer, Hassan Ali will play for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League 2024 season. Along with Hassan Ali, Islamabad United has also given their Round 1 Silver category pick to Karachi Kings in the PSL 2024 Draft in return for Imad Wasim.
RILLE ROSSOUW AND IFTIKHAR AHMED TRADE (QG & MS):
Another trade has took place between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators as well where both PSL franchises have traded a batsman in replacement of a batsman.
Multan Sultans have secured the services of the Pakistani batter, Iftikhar Ahmed while in return, Quetta Gladiators got their star batter, Rillee Rossouw back for the PSL 2024 season.
The left-handed batsman, Rossouw has gave many match winning performances for Multan Sultans in the recent past and he has also played for Quetta Gladiators in previous Pakistan Super League season.
Quetta Gladiators have also exchanged their first round platinum pick in the PSL 2024 Draft as well in this trade with Multan Sultans and this means Multan Sultans will now pick the first player in the HBL PSL 2024 Draft.
NASEEM SHAH & WASIM + ABRAR (IU & QG):
The right-arm pace sensation of Pakistan, Naseem Shah has been traded to Islamabad United in exchange for Wasim Jnr and Abrar Ahmed for the Pakistan Super League 2024 season.
It was one of the biggest trades of the PSL history as many franchises were interested in Naseem Shah for PSL because Naseem wasn’t willing to play for Quetta Gladiators and at the end deal locked with United and Naseem will play for Islamabad in PSL 2024 edition.
Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings also tried their best to get the trade done with Quetta for Naseem Shah but eventually, Islamabad offered the best deal to Quetta and got Naseem Shah in return for PSL 2024.
SHAN MASOOD AND FAISAL AKRAM (MS & KK):
So, Imad Wasim has joined Islamabad United, and now Karachi had no captain for the PSL 2024 edition and for that, they traded Shan Masood from Multan Sultans and he will be the captain of the Karachi Kings in the PSL 2024.
According to reports, Karachi Kings offered the emerging player, Faisal Akram along with a Silver Category pick to the Multan Sultans for the PSL 2024 season in exchange they got Shan Masood for the upcoming PSL season.
There are also some rumors going around that Muhammad Amir might also leave Karachi Kings and the Pakistani pacer is expected to play for Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 2024 season.
PSL 2024 DRAFT DETAILS:
Pakistan Cricket Board has announced officially that the PSL 2024 Draft will be scheduled on 13 DECEMBER, 2023 and which means all the HBL PSL 2024 teams will be shaped up in the second week of December.
