- Now let’s take a complete look at the complete squad of KARACHI KINGS detail by detail;
IMAD WASIM:
One of the top and the Pakistan’s best t20 all-rounder IMAD as usual will play for Karachi kings in this season as well but this time he will be back as captain of the team after Babar Azam left Karachi, he was also the captain of that KARACHI KINGS team which won the PSL title once but was removed after that and Babar was the next in charge of the team, anyways he is back again now and Karachi will be hoping that Imad will deliver the same performance again this season.
HAIDER ALI:
The name we are all aware of in Pakistan cricket is Haider Ali which was very popular in this part of world because of his aggressive gameplay but due to various reasons he couldn’t survive for too long in international cricket but that’s another chance with another team for Haider Ali to prove his name once more and make his way back into the team.
SHOAIB MALIK:
Veteran Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik who is always in record books for Pakistan when it comes to t20 cricket and is also the only Pakistani batsman with more than 10000 runs in this format and his tons of experience which will definitely help Karachi in any state of bother for which he is famous all around the world as a t20 specialist.
MOHAMMAD AMIR:
Another player who is well known in Pakistan cricket Mohammad Amir for his heroics in champion trophy final despite some of his off the field stuff but he is still a very experience bowler of Pakistan, his form was not in good form in the last PSL but he has shown some good performances in his last matches and kings will be hoping that he will do the same for them as well.
MATHEW WADE:
He is an Australian cricketer, a name that we don’t like much because he was the one who shattered the dreams of this nation in wt20 2021 semi-final with those sixes to Shaheen but we move and now he has been picked by Karachi Kings for this season PSL and they will be hoping that he will finish matches for their team as well – everything aside his rivalry with Shaheen in this PSL is a thing to watch out for …
IMRAN TAHIR:
Another world-class and experienced and t20 bowler who was initially from Pakistan but played for South Africa but now has retired but now plays in leagues all around the world – previously played for Multan Sultans and did very well with them but this time we will see him in blues.
ANDREW TYE:
He is another one from Australia who is a right-arm pacer and has played several LOIs matches for Australia from 2018-21 picking up more than 50 wickets for his country and now plays in BBL where he has enjoyed great success with his slower balls and quality death bowling.
TABRAIZ SHAMSI:
A quality left-arm leg-spin bowler who has many variations and good control over his line – Tabraiz Shamsi who features regularly for South Africa in their white ball setup emerged and plays t20 cricket all around the world and has now been picked by Karachi Kings to play this season.
AAMIR YAMIN:
Aamir Yamin was born in Multan, Aamir Yamin is a Pakistani right-arm medium-pace bowler and a handy lower-order batsman who can hit big when needed initially was labeled as the replacement of Abdul-Razzaq but due to various reasons couldn’t translate his potential into international cricket but he is still a very handy t20 all-rounder and has given many good performances with the bat and ball in national t20 cup as well as PSL.
MIR HAMZA:
Mir Hamza is a Pakistani test cricketer who made his comeback into the team in the recently concluded home test series on the back of his good performances in FC cricket – he wasn’t very impressive in the test matches but definitely was in the last year’s PSL with the new ball and then in death overs as well where he single-handedly lead the bowling attack of Karachi when Amir was not available due to some injury.
QASIM AKRAM:
Another U-19 product and definitely the most talented youngster right now with his power-hitting skills and off-spin bowling he can make a difference for Karachi Kings if used properly and he is the one who is in line to be picked for Pakistan National Team in the upcoming future and this season can be the one that will lead him to the completion of his dreams.
MOHAMMAD UMER:
Mohammad Umer is a Pakistani pacer who has already played for PSL for Zalmi in the previous seasons and has performed well but the retention rule is that you can’t keep all of your players so that’s why now Karachi has shown faith in him that he will be ready to fill in the shoes of a quality pacer if needed in the tournament due to any reason.
JAMES FULLER:
He is an all-rounder who has some good pace and a more than handy t20 batter from NZ who is a widely experienced player which will be very useful for Karachi Kings as he has a bowling average of less than 25 and a batting strike rate of 140+ which will benefit Karachi whenever there will be some big shots needed to win the match.
IRFAN KHAN NIAZI:
Pakistani player Muhammad Irfan Khan is a young Pakistani cricketer from Punjab who is a right-handed batter and pacer – played for Pakistan Shaheens and is a highly talented, a very good t20 batter with SR of over 150 in this format of the game which we will see in the tournament.
MUHAMMAD AKHLAQ:
Another Pakistani cricketer – a good wicketkeeper-batsman who is well known for his hitting skills and that’s why he was picked by ISLU previously as his style of play matches what United wanted from his players, he is a versatile batter who can bat at any position when required but now he will play for Karachi Kings as a backup of Mathew Wade.
TAYYAB TAHIR:
He is a product of Pakistan’s domestic cricket and now he has been picked by Karachi Kings which is the reward for his consistent and quality performances in domestic cricket irrespective of the format he played there – was named as the batsman of the tournament for Pakistan Cup 2021 and has a good record in t20 cricket with SR of 140+ now will make his PSL debut with Karachi.
JAMES VINCE:
James Michael Vince is not as destructive as his other English fellows but still a capable batsman and a handy medium pace bowler who played for England Cricket Team in all formats, he was also part of the English squad which won the 2019 CWC – previously he was picked by Quetta Gladiators and now he will be looking to score some more runs in blues as well.
BEN CUTTING:
Benjamin Colin James Cutting who is known as Ben Cutting is an Australian all-rounder who has played many PSL seasons previously with Peshawar Zalmi and is a very hard hitter lower-order batsman who showed us glimpses of his power many times in the competition but now he will play for Karachi Kings and will look again to repeat his performances.
MUSA KHAN:
Musa Khan is also a Pakistani cricketer with good pace who has even played for Pakistan but was in and out of the squad due to injuries as well – previously played for ISLU and performed well but now he has been slotted in the Kings squad for this year’s PSL season.
