Shaheen Shah Afridi Completes A Century Of Wickets On His Test Return Against Srilanka

Shaheen Shah Afridi returned to the test wicket after almost a year and started where he left from, dismissed the Srilankan opener, and completed his milestone for which he was waiting since the last year.
Shaheen Shah Afridi before the start of the test match against Srilanka mentioned that he is really excited to play test cricket for Pakistan again after such a long time and he is looking forward to completing the milestone of 100 wickets in test cricket. He took just 8 deliveries to complete his achievement in test cricket for Pakistan.
‘’ I was only one wicket away and the new ball was about to be available. I was planning to reach the milestone with the new ball, but I got injured before we got the new ball. So, I had to wait a lot but the time I was away from cricket, it helped me to learn a lot ‘’, he added.
The left-arm Pakistani pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed the Srilankan opener, Nishan Madhushanka in the second over of the match and completed his 100 test wickets for the Pakistan team.
Pakistani pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi was stranded on 99 test wickets for more than a year when he was injured at the same ground of GALLE in the first test match against Srilanka, but with his first wicket on his return, he completed 100TH test wicket and became the 11TH Pakistani pacer to complete a century of wickets in TEST cricket for Pakistan.
- Shaheen Shah Afridi has picked up his 100TH test wicket for the Pakistan team in just 26 test matches, he has played for the Pakistan team since his debut in DECEMBER, 2018.
Shaheen Shah took 26 test matches to complete 100 test wickets, the same number of matches were taken by Wasim Akram to complete his century of wickets in test cricket and this tells about the potential of Shaheen Shah Afridi as he is on the way to becoming one of the greats of the Pakistani cricket at such young age.
He completed his 100 test wickets at the age of just 23, he has picked up a century of wickets in test cricket at an average of around 25. He has picked up four five-wicket hauls and one ten-wicket haul in test cricket at such young age.
Shaheen Shah Afridi along with his 100 TEST wickets, has already picked up more than 200 wickets for Pakistan in international cricket. He has claimed six four-wicket hauls, along with one ten-wicket haul for Pakistan in international cricket.
