The schedule of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup is expected to be rescheduled and due to the rescheduling of matches, it will affect two matches of Pakistan and some matches of other teams as well.
The teams that are likely to be affected by this new change in the schedule are Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. The teams might get some new dates for some of their matches in the World Cup 2023.
The upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is scheduled to be played in India, later this year. Even though the schedule was announced quite late if we compare this to the previous world cup schedule but still it is not finalized completely.
Some changes are expected in the released World Cup 2023 schedule and the BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah has also confirmed this news that some countries have requested to change some of their matches schedule in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, and they are working with ICC on this matter to reschedule some of the World Cup matches.
Pakistan cricket team will tour India for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and is scheduled to play nine matches in the ICC World Cup in India this year – The schedule is also released for those matches but now there are reports that we might see some changes in the schedule of Pakistan team’s matches.
As per the media reports, the Pakistan cricket team might have to play three matches in a span of five days in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
There is no official confirmation as these are media reports but this isn’t good at all for the Pakistan team if this happens and Pakistan Cricket Board should look into this matter to make sure Pakistan Team gets complete rest and training time in their matches at the ICC World Cup 2023 in India.
There are reports that two matches of the Pakistan cricket team might be rescheduled in the new World Cup 2023 schedule, which also includes the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan at the Ahmedabad Stadium.
According to the media reports, the match between India and Pakistan which was scheduled to be played on 15 OCTOBER, 2023 will be rescheduled for 14 OCTOBER, 2023 because of the Indian festival ‘’ NAVRATRI ‘’ and this will affect the security concerns for both teams on 15 OCTOBER, but BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah in a conference negated such allegations as he thinks there are no security concerns.
EXPECTED RESCHEDULED MATCHES OF PAKISTAN:
Two matches of the Pakistan team are expected to be rescheduled after ICC will get confirmation from the Pakistan Cricket Board. The two matches that are expected to be rescheduled are the matches against the Netherlands or Srilanka and against the arch-rivals India.
The match between India and Pakistan which is reported to be played on 14 OCTOBER, 2023 will also raise many issues because there are already two matches scheduled on 14 OCTOBER, 2023 and if this happens, it will also force some more changes in the ICC World Cup 2023 schedule.
EXPECTED RESCHEDULED MATCHES OF OTHER TEAMS:
According to the Indian media reports, the group-stage match between Afghanistan and England will be scheduled on 15 OCTOBER, 2023 as well as the match between Bangladesh and New Zealand will also be scheduled on the next day.
