3 New Teams In PSL 2024 – PSL 9 2024
NEW TEAMS WILL BE ADDED IN PSL 9 2024:
Pakistan Super League is celebrated like a festival in Pakistan every year and whenever a season ends, there are speculations in the media that next year there will be more teams in the Pakistan Super League, this year things are getting interesting because the higher officials are working into this matter and we can expect some good news regarding the future of PSL new teams.
MIDDLESEX TEAM IN PSL 2024:
English sports website, The Guardian wrote on this matter and broke the news that the English county team, MIDDLESEX is in talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board over joining the Pakistan Super League in the 2024 season.
Sports magazine Guardians, further added that the discussions by the top officials on this matter have been very positive and if the desired agreement between both boards takes place, we might see the Middlesex team in the PSL 2024 season.
MIDDLESEX CHIEF EXECUTIVE – ‘’ PCB are interested in including overseas domestic teams into the PSL and we have held talks with them in this regard ‘’, ANDREW CORNISH told to The Cricketer, that these talks are very positive so far and we expect them to continue in the same manner.
PCB CHAIRMAN ON NEW PSL 9 TEAMS:
The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed that he is working hard to expand the Pakistan Super League and is willing to add two more PSL teams in the next PSL 2024 edition.
- PCB CHAIRMAN ALSO HELD A PRESS CONFERENCE BEFORE THE HBL PSL 2023 FINAL, HE STATED THAT THERE ARE CHANCES THAT THERE WILL BE MORE TEAMS IN THE PSL AND HE WILL WORK ON THIS MATTER, CHAIRMAN FURTHER SAID THAT HE WILL CONSULT EVERYONE ON THIS POINT AND WILL MAKE THINGS HAPPEN AS IT’S HIS DREAM TO ADD NEW PSL TEAMS.
‘’ If you ask me about my plans for the next PSL, my strive is to add two more PSL teams but obviously, this decision will be taken regarding the approval of the franchises and is impossible to do without doing any homework ‘’, he added in the press conference before the HBL PSL 2023 Final.
JAVED AFRIDI ON PSL 9 2024 NEW TEAMS:
The owner of the Peshawar Zalmi, Javed Afridi during a regular Question/Answer session on Facebook hinted that there might be two new PSL teams in the next season and fans are quite excited about this announcement.
Javed Afridi replied to a comment on Facebook in which a cricket fan asked Javed Afridi to provide us with some information regarding new PSL teams and to which Javed Afridi replied, ‘’ SIALKOT and FAISALABAD ‘’, and we all know how relevant is Javed Afridi to Pakistan cricket and especially when it comes to the Pakistan Super League.
NAJAM SETHI ON PSL 2024 NEW TEAMS:
The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi in an interview on a YouTube channel revealed that there is a lot of interest from the buyers to buy two new teams in the Pakistan Super League 2024 season.
‘’ I have not discussed this with anyone but I don’t know how this comes into media, I think Javed Afridi has revealed that Faisalabad and Sialkot are the two new teams in the PSL ‘’, Najam Sethi said on the YouTube channel.
‘’ It’s my desire that at least two new teams should be added to the Pakistan Super League ‘’, he further added.
Najam Sethi revealed that he has also recognized the valid concerns of the existing franchises, and he will be looking at all those things regarding the revenue loss and market saturation.
