ASIA CUP 2023 TO BE CANCELLED? BCCI PLANNING FIVE-NATION TOURNAMENT IN CASE ASIA CUP GETS CANCELLED
ASIA CUP 2023 TO BE CANCELLED:
According to the new reports, India and BCCI have rejected the hybrid model that was proposed by the Pakistan Cricket Board, the model was about how can Pakistan host the Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan and the matches of the Indian Team can be played at some other venue.
- NOW AS PER THE LATEST MEDIA REPORTS, BCCI HAS REJECTED THIS OFFER GIVEN BY THE PAKISTAN CRICKET BOARD AND THEY ARE PLANNING A FIVE-NATION TOURNAMENT WHICH WILL BE HELD AT THE SAME WINDOW WHICH WILL BE VACANT IN CASE THE ASIA CUP 2023 SEASON GETS CANCELLED OR POSTPONED.
The latest season of the Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to be played this year before the World Cup 2023, the 16Th edition of this tournament was scheduled to be played in Pakistan and this was the point all the fuss was created by BCCI when they announced that they will not tour Pakistan even for the Asia Cup at the end of this year, and Pakistan Cricket Board was pretty sure that they will not let the Asia Cup 2023 happen outside Pakistan in any case.
The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi has also hinted many times that they are not ready to take a step back from their demand for Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan and Pakistan Cricket Fans want the same as well for the honour of the country so things are very much difficult to solve out in this case and we might see a cancellation of the tournament, and as we all know Pakistan won the hosting rights of this tournament, BCCI should’ve shown some grace for the betterment of cricket.
To avoid any more clashes, Pakistan Cricket Board, a month ago proposed a hybrid model to the Indian Cricket Board so that India can play their matches outside Pakistan on a neutral venue which was expected to be between UAE or SRI LANKA, but don’t think BCCI will give a positive response on this model as well and we don’t know what’s the future of the Asia Cup 2023 season.
Now many media outlets like Cricket Pakistan, CrickTracker, and many other reports are indicating that BCCI has already rejected this model as they want the whole Asia Cup 2023 to be played outside Pakistan and no board is ready to slide a bit from their stance. Sources are reporting that if PCB stays firm on their plan of the hybrid model, we might not see the 16Th season of the Asia Cup 2023 this year.

We all know that this clash between the boards of both countries is not going to end soon, and it will be very difficult for both countries to sit and plan something with which they can agree on a common point because of political issues, so it is predicted that things might get worse and we can’t think of something better from here on as well but we will see an official statement on this whole matter which will end this debate on Asia Cup 2023.
