PAK Vs AFG 2023: Babar And Imam Were Not Happy With Afghan Players After The 2nd ODI Match

PAK Vs AFG 2023:

The second ODI match between Pakistan and Afghanistan was a thriller which went to the final over of the match but Pakistan emerged victorious on the back of Naseem Shah.

Babar Azam and Imam Ul Haq scored fifties and some crucial runs from Shadab Khan were the reason, Pakistan chased down the target of 301 runs.

The target was chased down on the second last ball of the match when Naseem Shah smashed four to win the match and the series for the Pakistan team.

There weren’t any good visuals at the back end of the game when Fazal Haq Farooqi ran Shadab Khan out at the non-striker end, which again started the debate of Mankand and the spirit of the game.

BABAR AZAM’S ARGUMENT WITH AFG’S PLAYERS:

At the end of the match, Naseem Shah was seen complaining about something to his captain, Babar Azam. The reason isn’t known yet but after that happened when the players shook hands with each other.

The captain of Pakistan, Babar Azam went to Afghan all-rounder, Muhammad Nabi and had an argument with him during the shake-hand gesture, Muhammad Haris and Naseem Shah were also along with Babar Azam.

We can’t confirm what actually happened there but there is a chance that Fazal Haq Farooqi might have said something to Naseem Shah when he smashed him for two fours and Naseem Shah complained that to Babar Azam.

IMAM UL HAQ’S ARGUMENT WITH AFG’S PLAYERS:

On the other hand, Imam Ul Haq was also seen in a video that he was also involved in some exchange of words with some other Afghan player.

Imam was seen very furious with his actions but the Afghan player at the receiving end wasn’t prominent in the video.

At the back end of the game, Shadab Khan seemed to be robbed off a no-ball which wasn’t given by the umpire and then that bizarre runout by Fazal Haq Farooqi almost took the game away from Pakistan.

Naseem Shah kept his head cool in the final over and scored 10 not out of just 5 deliveries as the Pakistan team chased down the target of 301 runs to win the series 2-0 against Afghanistan.

The 3rd ODI match against Afghanistan is scheduled to be played on 26 AUGUST, 2023 and the match will be played at Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
