BABAR AZAM AND RIZWAN HOLD THEIR SPOTS, LATEST T20I RANKINGS

The T20I openers of Pakistan, Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam were the second and third highest runs scorers of the series vs New Zealand and they have retained their places in the latest ICC T20I rankings.

Muhammad Rizwan was in brilliant form throughout the T20I series, gained 13 rating points in the latest updated T20I rankings, and with 811 rating points he has retained his second spot in the latest ICC T20I rankings.

Babar Azam even though was also in good form but only managed to score one century in the five-match T20I series, but with 756 rating points, the Pakistani captain still holds on to the third spot in the latest ICC rankings, the third-highest ranked T20I batsman from Pakistan is Iftikhar Ahmed who has gained many points in the recently concluded T20I series against NZ.

Pakistani bowlers could not gain much in this latest ICC T20I rankings, in fact, there was a drop in all the Pakistani bowlers as Haris Rauf slipped one spot as well as Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi who is now out of the top 15 bowlers in the latest ICC rankings, no Pakistani bowler is in the Top 10 of the ICC T20I bowling rankings.

Haris Rauf is still Pakistan’s highest-ranked T20I bowler, he is followed by the leg-spinner Shadab Khan and the left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Shadab Khan is the only player who is in the Top 10 rankings of all-rounders, he is ranked #4 in the latest ICC all-rounder rankings with 184 rating points, no other player from Pakistan is close to Shadab Khan.

The second-best player in this list from Pakistan is Imad Wasim, who has recently gained enough points as he has performed brilliantly with bat and bowl in the come-back series he has played so far.
