Babar Azam Holds the Top Spot As Haris And Naseem Jump Up In The ODI Rankings:

The Pakistani players even though had some tough times in the Asia Cup 2023, still they continue to be in the top ICC Rankings.

India and Pakistan both have three batters in the top 10 of the ICC ODI Rankings, which means 6 out of 10 top ODI batters are from India and Pakistan in the ICC Rankings.

Pakistani bowlers, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah have made great improvements in the latest rankings announced by the ICC.

BATTING RANKINGS:

The captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam is currently the top-ranked ODI batsman in the world with a gap of more than 100 rating points.

Shubman Gill with some excellent performances in the 2023 Asia Cup against Pakistan and Nepal has moved to his career-best second spot in ODI Rankings.

The other Pakistani batters such as Imam Ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman are ranked #5 and #10 in the ICC ODI Rankings respectively.

There is a complete Asian Dominance as along with three Pakistani batters, the Indian team also has three players ranked in the top 10 of the ICC ODI Rankings.

Indian openers Shubman Gill, and Rohit Sharma, are ranked #2 and #9 in the ODI Rankings. Virat Kohli is ranked at #8 in the latest ICC ODI Rankings.

BOWLERS RANKINGS:

The Australian pacer, Josh Hazelwood continues to be the top-ranked ODI bowler in the latest ICC ODI Rankings as well.

India’s leg-spinner, Kuldeep Yadav has picked up a fifer and a 4-fer in the 2023 Asia Cup and is now the #7 bowler in the latest ICC ODI Rankings.

Pakistani pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi is the top-ranked ODI bowler for Pakistan and is currently ranked at #10 in the ICC ODI Rankings for bowlers.

The other two Pakistani pacers, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah also gained some rating points and have moved up in the latest ICC ODI Rankings.

Hari Rauf has moved up eight spots and is now ranked at #21 in the latest updated rankings, Naseem Shah has moved up eleven spots and is now ranked #51 in the latest ODI Rankings.
