Babar Azam Records 2023 - PSL 8

Babar Azam, the National captain of Pakistan who left Karachi Kings before the start of HBL PSL 2023 and was named as the captain of Peshawar Zalmi for this season is having a dream PSL season with the bat, skipper Babar Azam smashes his maiden PSL century vs Quetta Gladiators and made his dream came true of scoring a PSL century this season.

Babar Azam along with his opening partner Saim Ayub started the innings for Zalmi and never looked back, both players shared a 150+ opening stand before Saim Ayub played a false shot and got himself out but Babar Azam was in some mood today and he never lost his motion and Babar ended up with his maiden century in the Pakistan Super league.

Babar Azam before the start of PSL wished that he wants to score a century in the Pakistan Super League, he said in an interview: ‘’I have a dream for me to score a century in the HBL PSL as I have already scored two centuries in T20Is and a few more in different leagues and I am positive about achieving this three-figure mark in this HBL PSL’’ and in the game vs Quetta Gladiators he fulfilled his dream.

Babar Azam batting against Quetta Gladiators scored a magnificent PSL century in which he scored a knock of 115 runs on just 65 balls, he scored his maiden HBL PSL century with the help of 15 fours – the most by anyone scored in a single PSL innings, his century also consists of 3 huge sixes with which he scored his maiden PSL century at a Strike Rate of 176.9 which tells us about his class as a T20 batter, this is also his highest T20 score in HBL PSL beating his previous best of 90* vs Multan Sultans last season for Karachi Kings.

Babar Azam playing for Peshawar Zalmi scored his maiden PSL century and it just took 9 innings for Babar Azam to score this century and he becomes the second batter for Peshawar Zalmi to score a century in HBL PSL, the other player is also his cousin Kamran Akmal.
