DROP CATCH BY SHADAB KHAN COST US THE MATCH – BABAR AZAM’S PRESS CONFERENCE
Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan team in his press conference after the match defended both his deputies, Shadab Khan and Muhammad Rizwan, and said that they have given match-winning performances in the past and we will just back them.
Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam said that the catch of Mark Chapman which was dropped by Shadab Khan was the turning point of the match as he scored an unbeaten T20I century to win the game for his team.
Even though Babar Azam said that the drop catch was the reason they lost the match but he make sure he supported his vice-captain saying that he has given many performances for Pakistan and we will continue to back him.
‘’ Shadab has given many match-winning performances for Pakistan in the past, if his performances weren’t good in one series, that doesn’t make any difference to us and we will continue to back him ‘’, Babar Azam defended Shadab Khan in the press conference.
Babar Azam also made sure that he defends his wicket-keeper opening partner, Muhammad Rizwan as he failed to score runs at a brisk rate after he was closing on to his century and he was alleged by fans that he wanted to score his 2ND T20I century which eventually he missed by two runs.
‘’ Rizwan tried hard in the last three overs but could not connect. I think he has done very well in the past it’s just he could not execute the plan properly but that doesn’t mean we lost because of his innings ‘’, Babar Azam spoke in favor of Rizwan’s unbeaten 98 runs innings which he scored on 62 balls on a flat Pindi track.
- THE T20I SERIES BETWEEN PAKISTAN AND NEWZEALAND ENDED UP AS A DRAW EVEN AFTER PAKISTAN WAS 2-0 UP IN THE SERIES BUT THEY LOST THE PLOT AND THIS WILL BE CONSIDERED AS ANOTHER HOME SERIES DEFEAT.
