Haseebullah Khan Peshawar Zalmi – Babar Azam Praised Haseebullah Highly Before PSL 2023

HASEEBULLAH – THE YOUNG PAKISTANI U-19 WICKETKEEPER BATSMAN WHO PLAYED HIS DEBUT MATCH FOR ZALMI IN PSL YESTERDAY IMPRESSED EVERYONE WITH HIS HITTING SKILLS AND THE WAY HE TOOK THE PRESSURE AFTER BEING 3 DOWN IN POWERPLAY TO SCORING A 27-BALL QUICKFIRE FIFTY IS THE THING WHICH MADE EVERYONE HIS FAN.

Haseebullah Khan Biography:

Haseebullah is a young batter of Pakistan who has played U-19 cricket for Pakistan, he performed very well for Pakistan at the junior level as well as in all the domestic competitions of Pakistan, in reward to those consistent performances in Pakistan ODi Cup but his stats in T20s were not that impressive still Haseebullah was given a chance to show his talent in PSL and the main person who identified his talent and gave him that opportunity was the National Captain Babar Azam.

Haseebullah was picked in the draft of Pakistan Super League which was held in the last month of year 2022 in Karachi, he was picked by Peshawar Zalmi as a backup wicketkeeper to Muhammad Haris for PSL season 8 because of his performances.

During the draft of Pakistan Super League 2023, when Peshawar Zalmi picked Haseebullah in the draft, Zainab Abbas asked Muhammad Akram the reason of picking Haseebullah and he replied: “ Haseebullah is a young player, he is playing FC cricket as a WK batter and he has performed well and for his team that’s why we have picked him as a backup WK batter, actually I was tiled towards someone else but because of the tilt of Babar Azam towards Haseebullah we have to go with the Captain’s pick “ and which shows us that Captain Babar Azam was behind all this to pick Haseebullah in his franchise team and he performed as per his expectations as well.

BABAR AZAM ON HASEEBULLAH:

Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam was when asked about his tilt towards Haseebullah in the draft on which he replied that he has seen enough of him in Pakistan U-19 cricket as well as in domestic cricket and he thinks he can be a potential match-winner for his team.

While talking to Zainab Abbas Captain stated that: “ I have seen him playing U-19 cricket as well as domestic cricket and I try to look at players on their potential and their runs in different situations, I liked him very much and for me he is an impact player and it’s good for him as well to share the dressing room with some great and experienced players of the game “ and that’s why he was tilted towards Haseebullah as our backup keeper.
