2025 ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY:
ICC Champions Trophy is the biggest ICC tournament after the ICC Cricket World Cups of both formats, this ICC Champions Trophy was started way back in 1998 and till now 7 editions of this trophy have taken place.
The last edition of the ICC Champions Trophy was played in 2017, and Pakistan won the last edition of the Champions Trophy in England. This trophy will be back in the mix of things now after around 7 years and it will be the 8TH edition of the Champions Trophy 2025.

ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025 QUALIFICATION:
There are 8 teams that take part in the ICC Champions Trophy, those eight teams will be the hosts as well as the top eight teams of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
The teams which will end in the top eight spots of the group stage in ICC World Cup, will feature in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and followed by hosts, Pakistan.

This was the last time this tournament was played, 8 teams also took part in this tournament in which England, Australia, India, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan took part and 15 matches were played.
- THE FINAL OF THE ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY WAS PLAYED ON 18 JUNE 2017, THE FINAL WAS BETWEEN INDIA AND PAKISTAN IN WHICH PAKISTAN THRASHED INDIA AND HANDED THEM A 180 RUNS DEFEAT IN THE FINAL OF THE CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2017, WHICH WAS THE LARGEST VICTORY BY MARGIN IN ANY CHAMPIONS TROPHY FINAL.
HOST COUNTRY FOR ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025:
After the completion of the 2017 Champions Trophy, ICC announced that it will be the last edition of the ICC Champions Trophy and it will not take place again.
However, in 2021, ICC again announced that they are starting this tournament again and its next edition will be played in 2025, after almost 7 years before the last edition.
After this announcement, PAKISTAN won the right of hosting the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 and will be the defending champions as well.
MATCHES IN ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025:
A total of 15 matches are gonna be played in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which will be played in Pakistan, the division of those matches are as followed;

- 2 MATCHES ARE THE SEMIS OF THE TOURNAMENT

As mentioned earlier, Pakistan will be the host country for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and as per the news Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to announce 4 venues for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the four different stadiums of different parts of the country are as follows;

Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in Pakistan and as per the media reports, this tournament will be played in the month of FEBRUARY or MARCH, the exact dates will be announced later, we will keep you updated.
ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025 SCHEDULE:
The schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be announced just before the start of the ICC tournament, a total of 15 matches will be played in this ICC tournament and which can be done in a total of around 20 days.
Some dates of FEBRUARY and MARCH are under discussion but we will keep you all updated once the official schedule is released by the ICC or any updates from PCB in this regard.
WILL INDIA PLAY CHAMPIONS TROPHY 2025 IN PAKISTAN?
Social media is full of news like these that BCCI will never visit Pakistan for the CT25, even though they will shift the tournament from Pakistan but there is no official confirmation as of now and everything is as planned by the ICC hosting rights.
BCCI SECRETARY JAY SHAH SAID, ‘’ we will have Asia Cup 2023 at a neutral venue, everything is on the government whether they will allow us to travel to Pakistan for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy but as far as the 2023 Asia Cup is concerned, we have decided on that it will be shifted away from Pakistan ‘’ he added because the Asia Cup 2023 is also scheduled in Pakistan so there are definitely bad tactics going on from Indian government.
PAKISTAN HASN’T HOSTED ANY BIG EVENT ESPECIALLY AN ICC EVENT FOR A LONG TIME, IT’S BEEN A DECADE NOW AS PAKISTAN HOSTED A WORLD CUP IN 1996, BUT NOTHING AFTER THAT, ALTHOUGH INDIA IS TRYING ITS BEST TO SHIFT THE ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY FROM PAKISTAN BUT NO ONE CARES BECAUSE FINALLY ITS HAPPENING AND IT WILL BE VERY BENEFICIAL FOR PAKISTAN CRICKET IF THINGS WENT AS PER PLAN, THIS CAN BE A VERY BIG BOOST FOR THE BETTERMENT OF PAKISTAN CRICKET IN FUTURE.
