ICC ODI WORLD CUP 2023 VENUES FOR PAKISTAN CRICKET TEAM
The major ICC tournament scheduled ahead this year is the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 which will be played at the end of this year, ICC Cricket World Cup is expected to begin on 5TH OCTOBER – 19TH NOVEMBER, and all the matches will be played in INDIA this year.
Although there are rumors that Pakistan will not travel to INDIA, but still we feel that’s not gonna happen and all things will definitely go ahead as per plan, the venues on which Pakistan is expected to play their World Cup matches in India are named as Chennai, and Kolkata, as reported by the Press Trust Of India (PTI).
There are many quality stadiums in INDIA and all the World Cup matches will be played at different venues across India, ICC Cricket World Cup will be played in 10 – 12 different cities of India, and out of those 2 are expected to be those stadiums on which Pakistan will play their matches, as per reports.
According to the ICC sources, these two venues (Chennai and Kolkata) are those where the Pakistan team has felt safe in our previous World Cup tours, reported by the Press Trust Of India.
CHENNAI STADIUM –
A high-class international standard stadium in India, the stadium in Chennai also known as the M.A. Chidambaram Cricket Stadium which has a seating capacity of 40,000 is expected to host the matches of Pakistan during their tour to India for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 this year.
- PAKISTAN CRICKET TEAM HAS TOURED INDIA MANY TEAM BEFORE THE POLITICAL TENSIONS BETWEEN BOTH COUNTRIES, PAKISTAN HAS PLAYED 6 MATCHES AT THIS VENUE AND HAS ONLY LOST 1 MATCH AT CHENNAI STADIUM.
KOLKATA STADIUM –
One of the biggest stadiums in INDIA, which is named to be the one that will host Pakistan for the World Cup 2023 games is the stadium in Kolkata, Eden Gardens stadium, and we all remember hosted its first ever ODI match vs INDIA and PAKISTAN in 1987.
- PAKISTAN CRICKET TEAM TOURED INDIA FOR THE T20 WORLD CUP 2016 AND PLAYED 2 OF THEIR MATCHES AT THIS GROUND, PAKISTAN HAS WON ONE MATCH AT THIS VENUE OF THE 2 MATCHES THEY HAVE PLAYED SO FAR.
