Virat Kohli Scores Century Against Bangladesh As India Continues Their Win Streak In World Cup 2023:

Virat Kohli scored his 48TH ODI century in the run chase against Bangladesh. Indian bowlers once again did the work for their team as the batters easily chased down the target of 257 runs by 7 wickets against Bangladesh.

The captain of Bangladesh, Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and decided to bat first against India in the World Cup 2023.

FIRST INNINGS:

The openers of Bangladesh, Tanzid Hassan, and Liton Das gave Bangladesh a dream start to the match as Bangladesh scored 63 runs without the loss of any wickets in the powerplay.

Tanzid Hassan scored a brilliant innings of 51 runs on just 41 deliveries and Liton Das scored 66 runs on 82 deliveries as the openers smashed 12 fours and three sixes between them.

As the openers were gone, the middle-order collapse was initiated which was handled by some crucial runs from the bat of Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah in the middle overs but the Indian bowlers restricted Bangladesh to a mere total of 256 runs after 50 overs.

Bumrah, Jadeja, and Siraj picked two wickets each in their spell of 10 overs against Bangladesh. Kuldeep and Thakur also picked one wicket in the match.

SECOND INNINGS:

In the run chase, the Indian openers came out with all intent as both Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started brilliantly as they also scored 63 runs in the powerplay without the loss of any wicket.

Rohit Sharma scored 48 runs on 40 deliveries, scoring seven fours and two sixes and Shubman Gill scored 53 runs on 55 deliveries, smashing five fours and two sixes in his knock.

Furthermore, Virat Kohli finished the run chase with his brilliant 103 runs on just 97 deliveries and some work was done by KL Rahul who scored some good 34 runs on 34 deliveries to win the game for his team.

In the bowling card, only Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled brilliantly as he picked up 2 wickets in his 10 overs while giving away just 47 runs. Hassan Mahmud also picked up one wicket but apart from that, all Bangladeshi bowlers went for plenty while defending a low target.
