Asian Cricket Council has finally made a decision regarding the venue of the matches of the Asia Cup 2023 that are scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka.
The group stage match between Pakistan and India was washed out due to rain in Pallekele, Sri Lanka and broadcasters were not happy with this in Asia Cup 2023.
The matches of the SUPER 4 stage in Asia Cup 2023 were originally scheduled to be played in Colombo, Sri Lanka but because of heavy rain ACC has now changed the venues of the SUPER 4 matches.
The much-anticipated match between Pakistan and India in the SUPER 4 stage of the tournament, which was scheduled at Colombo will now be played at Hambantota Stadium.
Furthermore, to avoid any such situation in which the match is not played on 10 SEPTEMBER, 2023, the Asian Cricket Council has also announced a reserve day on 11 SEPTEMBER, 2023 for the India-Pakistan match.
All the matches of the Asia Cup 2023 that were scheduled to be played in Colombo are now officially shifted to Hambantota because of heavy rains in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
There are also little chances of rain expected in Hambantota but cricket fans will be hoping that they will get full games because chances are not as dark as in Colombo.
