The 2023 Asia Cup is scheduled to play in Pakistan and Srilanka, even though Pakistan was the official host of the tournament but BCCI’s decision stood tall and Asia Cup 2023 shifted from Pakistan.

As per the various media reports, India will display Pakistan on their jersey for the Asia Cup 2023. Even though this is not a big deal but as India opposed to tour Pakistan, there was a chance, they might not display the name on their jersey but the latest pictures on social media have now confirmed that nothing like that has happened and everything will be normal.

Whenever a major tournament starts, the host team’s name is written on the jerseys of the teams. We have seen this many times in the Asia Cups as well as in World Cups when the names of the host countries are printed on the jerseys of every team.

As we know, the Asia Cup 2023 will be played as per the Hybrid Model and the matches will be scheduled played in Pakistan as well as in Srilanka but Pakistan’s name will be written on the jersey of every team because Pakistan is the official host of the tournament.

Even though the tournament is being played in two countries and the tournament will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Srilanka, Pakistan will still remain the official host of the tournament and that’s why along with the logo of the Asia Cup 2023, the name of ‘’ Pakistan ‘’ will be displayed on the jersey of the Indian team as well.

This will be for the first time that there will be ‘’ Pakistan ‘’ written on the jersey of the Indian team and they will be seen in action donning that jersey in Asia Cup 2023. Even though the Indian cricket team will not tour Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023.

India will play two group-stage matches in the Asia Cup 2023, those matches will be against Pakistan and Nepal as both these teams are placed in the same group.

PAKISTAN VS INDIA 2023 MATCHES SCHEDULE:

Pakistan and India are scheduled to play against each other twice in the tournament. The first match of Pakistan match against India will be played on 2 SEPTEMBER, 2023 and the second match will be played in PLAYOFFS round and is scheduled to be played on 10 SEPTEMBER, 2023. Both the matches of the Pakistan and India will be played in Srilanka.

Pakistan and India can also play thrice in the Asia Cup 2023 if both teams finish as the top two teams in the SUPER 4s. This will be a treat for the fans if Pakistan and India went on to play three matches in the Asia Cup 2023.

The 2023 Asia Cup tournament is scheduled to be played in AUGUST – SEPTEMBER. The tournament will be played from 31 AUGUST, 2023 to 17 SEPTEMBER, 2023.
