Muhammad Amir Backs Pakistan Team To Perform Well In The World Cup 2023:
Pakistan has played three matches in the World Cup 2023. Out of three matches so far, Pakistan has won two matches and was badly thrashed by India in the third match of the World Cup 2023.
The former Pakistani cricketer, Muhammad Amir backed Pakistan cricket team to do well further in the tournament because he feels that the tournament has just started.
‘’ We have only played three matches in the World Cup so far no doubt we lost badly to India but still, the tournament has just started and only three matches have been played so far. There are six more matches left in the tournament for us ‘’, Muhammad Amir added.
The left-arm Pakistani pacer also quoted the previous examples of Pakistan team when we didn’t had good starts in the Champions Trophy 2017 as well as in World Cup 2022 but we played good cricket as performed well in the tournaments.
‘’ In Champions Trophy 2017, we lost against India even worse than we lost in the World Cup 2023. In the World Cup, we lost against Zimbabwe all started talking like this like we are today, including me but we played the finals ‘’, he further added.
Furthermore, Muhammad Amir also hinted the possibility of facing India in the semis or in the final of the World Cup 2023 where he feels Pakistan will beat India.
‘’ We might play against India in the semis or in the finals and then we will thrash them Inshallah ‘’, Muhammad Amir concluded.
After the first three matches, Pakistan is scheduled to play their fourth match of the tournament against Australia on 20 OCTOBER, 2023.
