PAK vs AFG 2023: Naseem Shah Credits Afghan Bowlers For His Batting Performances

Pakistan thrashed Afghanistan by 142 runs and Naseem Shah’s bowling as well as batting performance was very crucial for Pakistan in the win against Afghanistan.

After the match, there was a banter video of Muhammad Haris, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah who talked about some moments in the match and the video was uploaded by the PCB.

Naseem Shah’s batting efforts were again the talk of the town who once again stood tall against the Afghan attack and scored an unbeaten 18 runs on 27 deliveries for Pakistan.

Muhammad Haris praised the batting performance of Naseem Shah in the first ODI match and inquired him about the recent improvement in his batting.

Naseem Shah hilariously replied to Muhammad Haris that the reason behind the improvement in my batting is the bowling attack of the Afghanistan team.

‘’ Credit goes to their [AFGHANISTAN] bowlers ‘’, Naseem Shah replied (laughs).

‘’ The team needed that performance and we all try to improve our batting so that whenever the team needs, we could contribute at the end which benefits our team. We had to defend a low total because runs were not enough. My 20 runs were added to the total and completed 200 which we defended at the end ‘’, he further added.

Naseem Shah’s batting performance was very important for Pakistan which helped Pakistan to score 200 runs on that wicket but he also performed brilliantly with the ball as well in the second innings.

The right-arm Pakistani pacer bowled five overs in the second innings and picked up one wicket while giving away just 12 runs in his five overs.

A collective batting and bowling performance from the Pakistani boys helped them to score 201 runs and then defend the total by bundling Afghanistan for just 59 runs in the second innings. Pakistan thrashed Afghanistan in the first ODI by restricting them to the lowest total ever (59) by any team against Pakistan in ODI cricket as Pakistan won the match by 142 runs.
