Naseem Shah, Usama Mir, And Other Pakistani Cricketers Registered For The SA20 Auction

PAKISTANI PLAYERS IN SA20 LEAGUE AUCTION:

The auction for the players is just around the corner for the T20 league of South Africa and many Pakistani cricketers have also registered for the auction as well.

The auction ceremony for the SA20 tournament is scheduled to take place on 27 SEPTEMBER, 2023.

A total of 122 overseas players have registered for the auction draft of the SA20 tournament and five Pakistani cricketers have also listed their names in that list.

The five Pakistani players who will feature in the upcoming season of the SA20 include the likes of Naseem Shah, Muhammad Nawaz, Shan Masood, Usama Mir, and Usman Qadir.

Naseem Shah, Shan Masood, and Muhammad Nawaz are the players with the highest base price in the tournament. The bidding price for all five Pakistani players in the SA20 auction draft is as follows;

NASEEM SHAH	850,000 SA RAND
MUHAMMAD NAWAZ	850,000 SA RAND
SHAN MASOOD	850,000 SA RAND
USMAN QADIR	425,000 SA RAND
USAMA MIR	425,000 SA RAND

SA20 AUCTION RULES:

Each team in the SA20 tournament has to pick 19 players for their final squad of the tournament.

In addition to that, out of these 19 players, there is a rule that 7 players should be overseas players who will play in the SA20 league.

SALARY CAP IN SA20 AUCTION:

As we all know, there is a salary cap that is given to the teams in any tournament which they can spend in the auction and same is the case in the SA20 tournament.

However, the salary cap for season 2 of the SA20 tournament has been increased 39.1 MILLION RANDS per team and that means a total of 5.1 MILLION RANDS can be spent in the auction draft of the SA20.

The upcoming season of the SA20 tournament that will be played in South Africa is scheduled to be played from JANUARY – FEBRUARY, 2023.
