New Chief Selector Of Pakistan Team:

The latest appointment in Pakistan Cricket Board is Inzamam Ul Haq that is now the new Chief Selector of the Pakistan team, appointed by the new PCB Chairman, Zaka Ashraf.

Inzamam Ul Haq is a former Pakistani cricketer, and captain, and has also worked as the coach of the Pakistan team as well. He will now work as the Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Team.

The former Pakistani cricketer was also appointed as the Chief Selector of the Pakistan team way back in 2016 and served around three years as the Chief Selector of the Pakistan team and is now again appointed to the same post by the new PCB management.

Inzamam Ul Haq, Misbah Ul Haq, and Muhammad Hafeez joined Pakistan Cricket Board as members of the technical committee. Misbah Ul Haq was named as the head of that technical committee and now the latest to be named in an important position in the Pakistan Cricket Board is Inzamam Ul Haq, as the CS of Pakistan.

Inzamam Ul Haq has a big job to do, as his first assignment is to pick a team for the away series of Pakistan against Afghanistan. The big tournaments such as the Asia Cup 2023 and the World Cup 2023 teams will also be announced by Inzamam Ul Haq.

INZAMAM’S CAREER FOR PAKISTAN:

The former Pakistani skipper, Inzamam Ul Haq is one of the big names in Pakistan cricket as he is the highest runs scorer for the Pakistan team in the history of cricket. He has scored more than 11,000 runs for Pakistan in Test cricket and more than 8000 runs in ODI cricket, which means he has scored an aggregate of more than 20,000 runs for Pakistan as a batsman.

INZAMAM’S COACHING CAREER:

The former Pakistani captain has worked with the Pakistan team many times in his coaching career after his retirement from cricket.

  • Inzamam started his post-cricket player career when he served as the batting consultant of the Pakistan team in 2012.
  • Inzamam Ul Haq also worked with the Afghanistan team as their head coach in 2015.
  • He resigned from the post of Afghanistan’s coach when he was offered the role of Chief Selector of the Pakistan team in 2016.
  • Inzamam was the Chief Selector of the Pakistan team when Pakistan won the most famous Champions Trophy in 2017.
  • He worked as the Chief Selector of Pakistan from 2016 – 2019.

The previous management of the Pakistan team which was appointed by Najam Sethi is almost retained, as per the reports, Mickey Arthur and Grand Bradburn will retain their spots but Haroon Rasheed, who was the Chief Selector of the Pakistan team has lost his job in this new tenure.

The new PCB management, under the chairmanship of Zaka Ashraf, has trusted the services of Inzamam Ul Haq as well as the likes of Misbah Ul Haq, and Muhammad Hafeez for some key roles in the Pakistan Cricket Board.
