ODI World Cup 2023 Pakistan Squad:
The biggest tournament this year is gonna be the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be played in INDIA and this tournament hold his own value because of the conditions in INDIA will be similar to what we have in Pakistan, this can be a very good chance for the Pakistan Team to show some wonders and so something special in this ICC CWC 2023 which is just around the corner.
Usually, the team for the ICC tournaments consists of a squad of 17-18 players and that is announced before the start of any tournament. Abdullah Shafique is expected to be in the squad for the Pakistan team as he will be the backup opener for Fakhar or Imam in case there are some injuries or form issues, that aspect will also be covered because Abdullah is also a proven performer for Pakistan as well as in PSL.
- HARIS SOHAIL
Haris Sohail has recently made his availability for the Pakistan team, he proved his fitness and made a come-back for Pakistan in the NZ ODi series in which he played some impressive knocks in the middle order, and as we know the middle order of Pakistan is always an issue so we can say that he can also make into the Pakistan squad.
- TAYYAB TAHIR
If you are looking for a good middle-order batsman as a backup to your regular players, you can count on Tayyab Tahir who is a proven domestic performer for Central Punjab and has also performed in the PSL for Karachi as well which shows us that he has that caliber and with his hitting range he can fill in the shoes of a middle order batter.
KEEPERS:
- MUHAMMAD RIZWAN (wk)
No surprises here as the best wicket-keeper in the world right now is gonna be included in the Pakistan ICC CWC squad this year, he is yet to prove himself that good in ODI cricket but his glove work and his class don’t need any proof so he will be there in the middle order for Pakistan team.
- HASEEBULLAH KHAN (wk)
As always when you make a team you also think about the possible backup for any player in case of anything wrong so for that Haseebullah can be a player to pick who has shown his potential in PSL and is a proven domestic performer in the Pakistan Cup which shows he can play this format.

- SHADAB KHAN (vc)

Imad Wasim has not been a regular for the Pakistan team since 2021 but he had a spectacular PSL season and which helped him make a comeback in the Pakistan team, if he continues to perform the same he will also be in line to be included in the Pakistan team.
- SALMAN ALI AGHA
Agha just made his spot in the Pakistan team and has performed at many crucial spots for the team and is also expected to be included in the Pakistan ICC CWC squad because of his spin-hitting skills and can be played as a finisher in the team.
- FAHEEM ASHRAF
When we talk about finishers, the one we talk about is the right-arm pace bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf who is also expected to be included in the squad because he is the only experienced fast-bowling all-rounder in the country, you can argue on AMIR JAMAL but he is just started his international journey, but yes he can be the one in the squad and I will not be surprised.
SPIN BOWLERS:
- USAMA MIR
Usama Mir made his international debut in the NZ ODI series as well where he performed very well and he has also been in the top wicket-takers of the PSL 2023 season as well which can be a reason of his inclusion in the squad because Shadab Khan is always on injury risk, so his inclusion makes sense.
- ABRAR AHMED
Abrar Ahmed can be the name in the squad if someone from the management wants a mystery spin in the bag of tricks so he can be an option but yes not an obvious one to be included in the squad because of his white-ball experience which is not that much.
FAST BOWLERS:
