Afghanistan chased down the target of 283 runs against Pakistan and handed them their third consecutive defeat of the World Cup 2023 tournament.

FIRST INNINGS:

Gurbaz and Ibrahim scored 65 and 87 runs respectively and Rahmat also scored fifty in the run chased, and a 48-run knock from the captain, Shahidi made it easier for Afghanistan to chase down the target.

On the spin track of Chennai, Pakistani spinners bowled 21 overs and leaked 131 runs without picking a single wicket in the second innings.

Only Shaheen Shah and Hassan Ali managed to pick one wicket each in the match as Afghanistan won the match by 8 wickets in 49 overs against Pakistani bowlers.
