PAKISTAN’S SQUAD FOR THE SRI LANKA TEST SERIES ANNOUNCED – PAK VS SL TEST 2023 SERIES

PAK VS SL 2023 TEST SERIES:

Pakistan Cricket Team is scheduled to play a two-match TEST series against Srilanka next month, some new names are included as the squad for the TEST series against Srilanka is announced by PCB.

A 16-member squad of the Pakistan team is announced after consultation with Pakistan’s management and captain, Babar Azam to play a two-match away TEST series against Srilanka. This TEST series against Srilanka will be a part of the next World Test Championship Cycle of the Pakistan team.

There are a few players that are dropped from the Pakistan TEST team but as we say: someone’s loss is someone’s gain, so if some players are dropped then in return, in the TEST squad of Pakistan, some of the talented players of Pakistan that can be a future prospect for Pakistan have received their maiden call-ups for the TEST series against Srilanka on the back of their brilliant performances.

PAKISTAN’S SQUAD FOR SL SERIES:

Pakistan’s TEST squad for the red-ball series against the Srilankan team is announced and there are some changes in the TEST team of Pakistan.

Some players are also dropped from the TEST team of Pakistan and those players including Muhammad Wasim Jnr, Kamran Ghulam, and leg spinner, Zahid Mehmood who was also a part of the TEST matches in the previous series but couldn’t perform well are the ones that are dropped for the Pakistan TEST side.

The 16-member squad that is announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the series against Srilanka, scheduled to play next month is as follows;

PAKISTAN’S PACE ATTACK – Pakistan’s pace attack in the upcoming TEST series against Srilanka will comprise two right-arm pacers, Hassan Ali – who has retained his place in the Pakistan TEST team because of his brilliant county performances, and Naseem Shah, followed by the ace pacer of Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi who will return to the TEST team of Pakistan after almost a year.

TRAINING CAMP:

The training camp of the players that are selected for the TEST series against Srilanka will start in the first week of July and this is just an opportunity for the players to work on their skills and fitness levels before the start of the most important TEST series of Pakistan.

NEW INCLUDED PLAYERS

In the TEST squad that is announced today, these are the following players that are picked for the TEST squad of the Pakistan team for the TEST series against Srilanka, and players are as follows;

MUHAMMAD HURAIRA:

Muhammad Huraira is another player who has received his maiden call-up from Pakistan’s TEST squad, the youngster included in the Pakistan’s TEST team is a huge domestic performer, as he averages around 70 in first-class cricket. The right-hander smashed one of his best knocks in first-class cricket against Zimbabwe, he scored a collective of 242 runs on his tour to Zimbabwe, with an impressive batting average of 121 runs, which resulted in him being in the TEST squad of Pakistan as a reward of his brilliant performances.

AMIR JAMAL:

Amir Jamal is a very talented all-rounder that has been picked by the National selectors for the TEST squad of the Pakistan team against Srilanka. He is also a very prominent domestic performer and he also performed exceptionally well on the recent tour to Zimbabwe where he picked up many wickets as well as some crucial runs for the team, he is now rewarded with his inclusion in the TEST team.
