Pakistan Cricket Players Salary List 2023:
Pakistan Cricket Board is all set to announce new central contracts for Pakistani players. The central contracts will be announced for the 2023-24 season of the Pakistan cricket team.
As per the reports, Pakistan Cricket Board has all things covered and the captain of the team, Babar Azam is also taken in to confidence as the new central contracts for the 2023-24 season will be announced soon.
PCB 2022-23 CATEGORIES:
In the 2022-23 central contracts, Pakistan Cricket Board included 20 players in the list. All 20 players were divided into four different categories and all centrally contracted players are paid according to their category.
The categories announced by the PCB in the previous season were as follows;
- RED/WHITE BALL CONTRACT
- RED BALL CONTRACT
- WHITE BALL CONTRACT
- EMERGING CONTRACT
PCB 2023-24 CONTRACT CHANGES:
It is expected that in the upcoming contracts of the Pakistan Cricket Team there will be a huge raise in the payment to the Pakistani players. In the previous contracts, all the players got upto 50% increase in the match fee across all formats and 25% extra allowances to the captain of the Pakistan team.
It is expected that there will be four categories in the upcoming central contracts: CATEGORY A, CATEGORY B, CATEGORY C, and CATEGORY D players will be contracted by PCB.
- The players that will be included in the CATEORY A will be able to earn around 4.5 Million/Month, which was around 1.5 Million/Month what they used to make in previous contracts.
- The players that will be included in the CATEORY B will be able to earn around 3 Million/Month, which was around 0.9 Million/Month what they used to make in previous contracts.
- The players that will be included in the CATEORY C will be able to earn around 2 Million/Month, which was around 0.8 Million/Month what they used to make in previous contracts.
- The players that are included in the CATEGORY C will be able 1.5 Million/Month, which was around 0.5 Million/Month but now there is an increase of around 127% in new central contracts.
In the upcoming contracts, it is expected to be the biggest raise in the monthly salary of the Pakistani players as they are about to get around thrice more than their previous contracts. This step is taken by PCB, because the Pakistani players are now big names of world cricket and they want the same as the top cricketers all around the globe earn from playing cricket.
HOW MANY LEAGUES ARE PAKISTANI CRICKETERS ALLOWED TO PLAY?
The Pakistani players that will be placed in CATEGORY A will be allowed to participate in one foreign league, followed by CATEGORY B players which will be allowed to feature in two T20 leagues, and CATEGORY C players can play three leagues all around the world.
