Pakistan’s Likely Playing XI For The Third ODI Against Afghanistan
The third and last ODI match of the series between Pakistan and Afghanistan is scheduled to be played on 26 AUGUST, 2023 at the Colombo Stadium.
Pakistan won the first ODI match by 142 runs and the second ODI match was won by 1 wicket. Pakistan will now look to win the third ODI and look for a clean sweep in the series against Afghanistan.
The playing XI in the first ODI match included Fakhar, Imam, Babar, Rizwan, Salman, Iftikhar, Usama, Shadab, Shaheen, Haris, and Naseem. There was no change in the second ODI match against Afghanistan.
PAKISTAN’S PLAYING XI FOR THIRD ODI:
Two to three changes can be expected in the third ODI match as Pakistan has already won the series and they can now try to give youngsters a chance in the playing XI.
The left-handed batsman, Saud Shakeel is expected to play in place of Salman Agha as he has not delivered in both the ODI matches against Afghanistan.
Muhammad Nawaz is also expected to make a comeback to the playing XI in place of a leg-spinner, just to give him a chance in the team.
Inclusion of Muhammad Wasim and Faheem Ashraf is also a chance as we know that Asia Cup 2023, and World Cup 2023 are just around the corner, so there is a chance that Pakistan will try and give a chance to bench players as well.

Pakistan will look to take on Afghanistan in the third ODI and win the series 3-0 in Sri Lanka and they can take that momentum into the Asia Cup 2023.
