International League T20 – Pakistani Players All Set To Play In Upcoming Editions of The ILT20 League

The CO of the ILT20 has confirmed that PCB has confirmed that the Pakistani players will be available for selection in the second season of the ILT20 league.
In the previous season, ILT20 requested PCB to allow Pakistani players in their league but the former PCB Chairman, Ramiz Raja didn’t allow the players to take part in the competition and also demanded compensation from the Emirates Cricket Board in return for allowing the star Pakistani players.
Pakistan Cricket Board requested ILT20 management to schedule their league in a way that they can allow Pakistani players to feature in that league and ILT20 officials have confirmed that they are trying to find a suitable window for their League so that the Pakistani players can feature in the league.
In a recent interview with THE NATIONAL, the chief operating officer of the ILT20 confirmed that many of the top Pakistani players will be available for selection in the upcoming editions of the ILT20 League.
The ILT20’s chief operating officer has also acknowledged the fact that the presence of Pakistani players in the ILT20 will give their league a huge boost and it is huge news that PCB will allow their players to play in ILT20.
‘’ It is big news for the ILT20 League that the Pakistan Cricket Board will issue the NOCs to their players so that they can participate in our league. We are hopeful to see some top-quality players in the ILT20 season two ‘’, Subhan Ahmed, the chief operating officer confirms.
‘’ We are hopeful to see some of the top quality Pakistani players in the upcoming season of the ILT20. It will give a huge boost to the league and we are looking forward to it ‘’, he added.
Even though the schedule of the ILT20 is officially released for the new season but ILT20 officials have confirmed that they will look for some changes in the schedule so that the top Pakistani players can be available to feature in their league.
The upcoming season 2 of the ILT20 League is set to be played from 13 JANUARY, 2024 – 12 FEBRUARY, 2024 and it is the same timeframe in which the HBL Pakistan Super League is played, and Pakistani players need some time so that they can feature in this league as well.
‘’ We have had meetings and discussions with PCB about the availability and timings, that there are no clashes in terms of commitments, the players will be made available ‘’, he concluded.
In the previous season of the ILT20 League, many top Pakistani players were offered a three-year contract in the ILT20 league with some good packages but PCB didn’t allow the Pakistani players to feature in the league.
As per some media reports, some of the top Pakistani players such as Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi were offered good contracts as well as the captaincy of the teams in the ILT20 but they couldn’t feature in the league.
With the availability of Pakistani players in the ILT20 league, this league will definitely get a huge boost because of the Pakistani audience that will also be attracted to the league along with top Pakistani players.
