Pakistan is scheduled to play its last SUPER 4 match against Sri Lanka and the match now holds the importance of a knockout match.
It is the last SUEPR 4 match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka and whoever wins the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will qualify for the Final of the 2023 Asia Cup tournament.
DATE AND VENUE:
The virtual knockout match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be played on 14 SEPTEMBER, 2023 at the Colombo Stadium.
PAKISTAN’S PLAYING XI FOR KNOCKOUT MATCH AGAINST SRI LANKA
Pakistan will play their last SUPER 4 match with quite some changes from their previous match against India because of some injuries and conditions.
There are about three to four changes that are expected in the Pakistan team’s playing XI for the match against Sri Lanka.
In the last match against India, Pakistani pacers, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah were reportedly injured and two replacements – Shahnawaz Dahani and Zaman Khan were also announced.
The middle-order batsman of Pakistan, Salman Ali Agha also got injured in the match against India and is likely to be replaced by Saud Shakeel for the game against Sri Lanka.
According to reports, Pakistan is also looking to include Usama Mir in the playing XI for the match against SL, because of pitch conditions in place of Faheem Ashraf.

There are some voices for Fakhar Zaman to be replaced by Abdullah Shafique or Muhammad Rizwan but looks like Babar Azam is still backing Fakhar to win matches for Pakistan and he will play against SL as well.
These are the four changes that are expected in the Pakistan team for the match against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
