When Pakistan Super League was started way back in 2016, it was not played in Pakistan and it took many years for PCB to bring back the whole tournament to Pakistan. Now after the Pakistan Super League is completely shifted back in our country, it’s been around 8 years and 8 PSL seasons, Najam Sethi announced in a conference before the PSL 9, 2024 season that he wants to host the PSL 2024 matches on other venues and specically USA next season.
He further added that, ” If we can host the PSL 8 matches in 4 different cities across Pakistan, they can host the PSL matches anywhere in the world ” and this news spread like fire which took the PSL fans by storm.
He praised all the relevant authorities to make the PSL season 8 successful and said that he will continue to work hard for the betterment of PSL, if this happens this will be good for the brand value of the PSL but it is a bit difficult as well.
PCB management committee and PCB owners also had a meeting in this regard when there was a deadlock between the PCB and the government on matches in Punjab and everyone was very furious over it because the Punjab government was demanding money for the safety and completion of this tournament in Punjab, and now if PCB is serious because of some issues like this in Pakistan that they can explore a completely new venue instead of UAE, this option pf hosting matches in USA can be a very good option.
Now to forget that the USA has also won the rights for hosting the 2024 T20 WORLD CUP in their country and they are also getting their stadium upgraded at the international level to host those matches.

USA currently has two international-level quality stadiums approved by ICC as well which can be used in World Cup 2024, PCB can also think into this and can contact USA government to host the PSL 9, 2024 season matches in the USA as well, which will be betterment for the players to access the conditions in the USA before the start of the tournament because Pakistan has never played any match in the USA.
