Saim Ayub Interview:
Saim Ayub, the elegant left-handed batsman, who recently made his debut for Pakistan’s T20i team over his performances for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League 2023 season, praised his PSL knock on which Babar Azam appreciated him.
Saim Ayub in an interview on PCB YouTube Channel showed his emotions over his second PSL fifty he scored as an opener while batting with Babar Azam at the other end, he said that was an emotional moment for him, in that match vs Lahore Qalandars he played that knock and got emotional because he came as an opener with Babar Azam.
‘’ It was my dream to bat with Babar Azam, when I scored a fifty and Babar Bhai appreciated me, that was such a proud moment for me that the World’s #1 batsman was there when I scored that fifty and he appreciated me ‘’, he further added.
The classy left-handed batter further showed his emotions on that knock and said that he has still saved that photo in which Babar Azam was there with him and he raised his bat after scoring that fifty against Lahore Qalandars, this was an emotional moment for him and a much needed boost for his career.
Talking about his emotional moments, Saim Ayub further added that when he won the match for his U-16 team, that was such an emotional moment for him because even though it was U-16 team but still for me that was Pakistan team and that match I won for my country vs Australia in Australia was a moment I will always remember.
