Should Pakistan Replace Shadab As Vice Captain For Pakistan In ODI Cricket?
The leg-spinner of Pakistan, Shadab Khan has been the vice-captain of the Pakistan white ball team for a long time but now his place as vice-captain especially in ODI cricket is in trouble.
The performance of Shadab Khan is also getting worse day by day in ODI cricket and this has created more pressure on him to perform as he is the vice-captain of the team.

Now there is also a question about the place of Shadab Khan in Pakistan’s ODI team and fans are accusing him of featuring in the XI just because he is the deputy of Babar Azam.
The front-line spinner for Pakistan in ODI cricket is Shadab Khan but his performance in ODI cricket for Pakistan since 2021 is not good and as a result, he isn’t picking wickets for Pakistan in the middle overs of the game as well.

Shadab Khan averages around 43 with the ball and 25 with the bat in ODI cricket for Pakistan since 2021 and these stats can’t justify your place as the vice-captain of the ODI team for Pakistan.
In the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023, which was played in spin tracks of Sri Lanka, Shadab Khan only picked up 6 wickets in 5 matches. Out of these 6 wickets, 4 wickets came against Nepal in the group stage of the Asia Cup 2023.
Another question that is raised here is that if the post of vice-captaincy is important, why Pakistan is not opting for Muhammad Rizwan or Shaheen Shah as Babar’s deputy in ODI cricket?

In the first three matches of the World Cup 2023, Shadab Khan is averaging 65+ with the bowl and this has raised serious questions for the team management to replace Shadab Khan with Usama Mir who bowled brilliantly in the warm-up matches of Pakistan.
