Babar Azam About Pakistan Performance In World Cup 2023:

The captain of the Pakistan team, Babar Azam held a press conference before the departure to India for the World Cup 2023 in India.

Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam also spoke about the chances of the Pakistan team to finish in the top four teams in the 2023 World Cup.

A question was asked to Babar Azam that many cricket experts are labeling Pakistan as favorites to be in the top four but what are his views regarding the chances of the Pakistan team finishing in the final four of the World Cup 2023?

To which Babar Azam replied, ‘’ Sir you are aiming too low. If you ask me, we are hopeful to end up as the No.1 team in the World Cup ‘’.

Babar Azam also spoke about the pressure on players because there are only two players in Pakistan squad who have played in India prior to the World Cup 2023.

The two players with experience of playing in India are Salman Ali Agha who played in Champions League and Muhammad Nawaz who was the part of the squad in 2016 World Cup as well.

‘’ First of all, as a player, you should be proud of yourself that you are playing World Cup. There is no pressure as all players are always ready to play in any sort of conditions. The conditions are not really different as there are good batting tracks apart from Chennai or some other grounds ‘’ He further added.

‘’ I played 2019 World Cup as player and I am leading in the 2023 World Cup and that’s an honor for me. We will try to play well, and get back home with the World Cup trophy ‘’, Babar Azam concluded.
